Grain wagons (hoppers) are a specialized wagon, a type of hopper, which is a class of self-unloading bunker freight wagons for transporting bulk cargo, including grain.
A covered wagon is a type of freight car that is closed on all sides. It is designed to ensure the safety of the transported cargo in adverse weather conditions, and to protect it from theft and mechanical damage.
